Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the stunning town of Sarlat, a gem of medieval and Renaissance buildings, that attracts more than a million visitors per year. On market day (Wednesday & Saturday), you will be thrilled to see and taste some local specialties
Later in the day, discover this fascinating Prehistoric period of our humanity, the era of Homo Sapiens, with a visit to the new museum, Lascaux IV opened in December 2016. Experience a visit of the Center of International Parietal Arts, the new replica of the Lascaux Cave, the most well-known Stone Age cave art site in Europe, if not in the world !
Explore some typical villages such as Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère or Saint-Amand-de-Coly to discover one of the rare fortified churches of Dordogne or the beauty of typical roofs covered with “lauze” ‘(dry stone). On the way back to your accommodation, you will encounter lovely bucolic country sides.
