Discover Périgueux, the capital of Dordogne with its beautiful Renaissance buildings, animated shopping streets, picturesque food markets and a stunning cathedral Saint-Front which has been the model for the building of the Sacré-Coeur (Sacred Heart Church) in Paris.

You will be thrilled visiting the amazing Vesunna Museum, dedicated to Gallo-Roman art and civilization and designed by the great French architect Jean Nouvel. After Perigueux, you will travel north to visit to the imposing Château de Bourdeilles built on the cliffs of the Dronne River and birthplace of Pierre de Bourdeilles. This chateau was one of the four baronies of Perigord and is one of the few still furnished.

End the day with a visit to the charming town of Brantôme, nicknamed the ‘Venice of Perigord’, beautifully situated at the Dronne River and housing one of the oldest abbeys of France, founded by Charlemagne.
