Discover the most famous landmarks of Bordeaux, the “City of Art and History”, listed by UNESCO as “an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble dating back to XVIII C.

A walking tour will take you from  the Grand Theatre, located in the heart of the town, to the Monument of the Girondins and its fountain situated on the famous Place des Quinconces, to the “Water Mirror”,  facing the Place de la Bourse which was built by King Louis XV in the early 1700’s as the Royal Plaza, and to Rue St. Catherine which has been the “main street or high street” since Roman times. You will also discover the majestic Saint Andrew Cathedral, where Eleonore of Aquitaine and future king of France got married, or stroll through the lively Chartrons neighborhood, the famous historic district used by wine merchants and barrel coopers over the past 300 years. End the day with a tour to the “Cité du Vin” to learn about the culture and civilization of wine throughout the world.

Later, continue on to the marvelous village of Saint-Emilion listed as a WHS by UNESCO, reputed for it outstanding red wines, amongst the best in the world. Enjoy a guided tour of the amazing Monolithic Church (8th-13th C.) carved out of the rocks, followed by a visit  to a reputed winery of the Saint-Emilion appellation that produces one of the best Grand Cru of the area for a guided tour and wine tasting.
