This region is known world over for its stunning prehistoric sites, its importance in the history of France, its impressive medieval castles, picturesque medieval villages, beautiful town and cities, breathtaking landscapes and, last but not least, its great food and wines. All this will be experienced by daily excursions to allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature and the genius of mankind. You will also visit food markets, wineries and farms. According to the season you will go truffle hunting and learn how to prepare a genuine scrambled egg with truffles, one of the many specialties of the area!

Several cooking classes, conducted by Michelin-starred and reputed local chefs will be offered. You will learn how to prepare some wonderful meals that are creative, simple, inexpensive, beautiful to look at and delicious! You will learn the basic techniques, many tricks and secrets you can use at home to make your daily cooking more relaxing, enjoyable and awarding!

These classes will be active and your full participation will be required at all stages. They are open to all, beginners or advanced, who want to improve their daily family dinner or to offer a treat to friends!
You will stay 6 nights in a beautiful luxury “B&B”, a 16th C. mansion, situated in a very attractive little medieval village, Biron, in Dordogne. The architecture is splendid; the rooms are spacious and very comfortable offering wonderful vistas of the surrounding area. You will enjoy the warm hospitality of the owner who will do all that is possible to make your stay happy and memorable. The last two nights will be spent in an elegant 4-star hotels in the heart of the wonderful city of Bordeaux and you will be given opportunities to discover the city and the surrounding area.
