Discover Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, once part of the Spanish province of Navarra, and known as an important pilgrimage stop to Santiago de Compostela, the charming village of Espelette, known for its dried red peppers, displayed on the façade of many houses to dry and used in the Basque cuisine, stop in Sare listed as ‘one of the most beautiful villages in France’’. With its large pelota court, shaded streets and fine church with wooden galleries, Sare is a wonderful place for a buccolic stroll. Sare also hosts a major prehistoric site
